The Pilates Method is a functional exercise program that focuses on safe movement through core stability. Your core extends from your pelvis to your lower rib cage. Having strength and stability in this region can prevent a number of injuries and also eliminate the source of pain in other parts of the body.

Through the Pilates method, you can build your body to support new ways of moving. By strengthening the core and re-patterning your movement, you’ll learn to move in ways that are safer and more efficient.

Pilates has a number of benefits, including:

  • relief from back and knee pain
  • total-body strengthening, toning, lengthening, and flexibility
  • injury prevention
  • improving balance and posture
